Compare repair cost with likely market impact
Obtain estimates for health, safety, structural, system, and cosmetic work. Then compare an as-is price range with the likely price after repairs, the time required, carrying costs, available cash, and the risk of discovering additional problems. The project with the highest projected sale price does not always produce the highest net proceeds.
