There is no single useful price for a home-office redesign without knowing the scope: replacing a chair and lighting is different from adding built-ins or changing the room itself. Set the budget by pricing furniture, finishes, delivery, installation, and any professional work separately.
Define what will change
Make three groups: items to keep, items to replace, and work to complete. A furniture refresh might include a desk, chair, lamp, and storage. A more involved project might also include flooring, built-in cabinetry, painting, or electrical work.
Keep optional improvements separate from the essentials. That gives you a clear way to adjust the project when the quotes arrive instead of trying to cut costs from an undefined total.
Build a complete comparison
For each purchase, record the item, size, finish, quantity, delivery, and assembly. For work in the room, request a written scope that explains preparation, materials, labor, and what is excluded. Compare quotes for the same job so a lower total does not hide a missing part of the work.
Also decide whether you need design services and what those services would include. Keep that fee separate from purchases and installation so the total remains easy to follow.
Prioritize how you use the office
Identify the parts of the room that affect your working day most, such as the desk arrangement, seating, storage, or lighting. Price those first, then decide how much to devote to artwork and finishing touches. Reusing pieces you already enjoy can give the room continuity while keeping the project focused.
